ASBPA announces 2nd annual photography contest winners
FORT MYERS, FL – The American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) has announced the winners of its second annual national photography contest. Tony Pratt, Delaware’s shoreline and waterway administrator, won the grand prize and the USA East Coast division with his photograph titled, “Cape Henlopen Sunrise.”

- Grand Prize: Tony Pratt: Cape Henlopen Sunrise, Delaware
- USA East Coast: Tony Pratt: Cape Henlopen Sunrise, Delaware
- USA Gulf Coast: Rhonda Cummins: Surfside and San Luis Pass, Texas
- USA Pacific Coast: Erica Harris: Sea Foam Run, Oregon
- Caribbean: Chris Makowski: Caribbean Sunset, Puerto Rico
The winner in each category will have his or her name and photograph printed in the Association’s national magazine, Shore & Beach. Pratt’s grand prize winning photograph will appear on the cover of the Winter 2010 issue of Shore & Beach , and he will receive a one-year annual membership renewal to ASBPA.
Entrants were asked to submit photographs depicting the coastal zone in their area. Subject matter included beaches, bluffs, marinas, wetlands, marine life, recreational facilities, and engineered beach restoration projects. Photographs were judged by the editorial board of Shore and Beach.
The purpose of the contest is to highlight the beauty of the natural and manmade wonders of America’s magnificent coasts.
