Communications
• Reviews Coastal Voice, the e-newsletter, before it is published
• Makes recommendations for content

Best Restored Beaches 12
• Develops criteria and call
• Reviews nominations and makes recommendations
• Participates in announcement and awards ceremony

Science and Technology
• Aims to maintain science and technology as a top organizational priority
• Strives to serve the Shore and Beach and National Coastal Conference Committees
• Prepares white papers on pertinent coastal issues
• Plans to increase the involvement of universities with coastal programs
• Prepares white papers on science and technology

Government Affairs
• Develops a legislative agenda
• Develops a government affairs work plan
• Oversight for lobbyist
• Provide input for Summit

Partnering
• Engage other non-profit organizations to pursue common interests relative to beach management and preservation.

Corps Committee
Members of this committee should either be USACOE staff or former staff.
• Develop and implement a plan to increase Corps of Engineers’ participation in ASBPA

Academic Working Group
Members of this committee should be university professors, former professors or current students.
